Macrozamia spiralis (Cycad)
This small cycad from NSW has a distinctive spiral twist to its foliage. Low growing, it carries 8 or so blueish to dark green fronds, around 60cm long. It’s indigenous to western Sydney and the Blue Mountains, growing in poor soils under eucalypt canopy.
Best for full sun to part shade, in well drained soil. Looks great planted in multiples, but also excellent for pots as a small feature plant.
