Encephalartos ferox (Cycad)

Encephalartos ferox is a smaller cycad species, with a lush crown of compact deep green fronds. Native to coastal Mozambique, it grows in sandy soils and so requires excellent drainage.
This cycad can be grown in full sun or a partial shade position. Best planted under canopy in frost prone areas.
