This popular palm produces elegant, arching, deep green leaves. Ideal for interior decoration, patio displays and part shaded garden sites. If the kentia palm is planted in a protected garden it requires to be in a warm and frost-free position. Keep soil moist during the growing period but not wet.

Light Requirements: Prefers part shade to shade. The Kentia Palm thrives in low to medium light conditions, making it ideal for indoor environments. It can tolerate bright, indirect light but should be protected from direct sunlight to prevent leaf scorch.
Watering: Water regularly, allowing the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Reduce watering in winter when the plant’s growth slows down.
Soil: Prefers well-draining soil. Use a peat-based potting mix with added perlite or sand to improve drainage.
Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy growth.
Pruning: Remove dead or damaged fronds to maintain appearance and encourage new growth. Pruning is minimal; only trim brown tips if necessary.
Temperature and Humidity: Prefers warm temperatures and moderate to high humidity. Ideal temperature range is 65-85°F (18-29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
