Encephalartos ituriensis (Cycad)

Encephalartos ituriensis is a very large rainforest cycad native to the Congo.  A tall trunk (to 6m) in height and a crown of very long fronds (over 3m) give it a palmlike appearance.
This cycad is best grown in full sun or partial shade – under canopy in frost prone areas. Prefers moist soil and is less fussy about drainage than many cycad species.
