Swiss Cheese Plant (Monstera deliciosa)
$35.00 – $89.00
The Monstera deliciosa is a prefect house plant to give your home an exotic feel. Monstera’s like shade and warmth. Place plant in a well-lit area inside with plenty of space for it to spread. Water weekly and polish leaves with a damp cloth to remove dust.
200mm pot – $35
300mm pot – $89
Light Requirements: Prefers part sun to shade. Monstera thrives in bright, indirect light but can tolerate low light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
Watering: Water regularly, keeping the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out between waterings. Reduce watering in winter when the plant’s growth slows.
Soil: Prefers well-draining soil. Use a peat-based potting mix with added perlite or orchid bark to improve drainage.
Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, liquid fertilizer during the growing season (spring and summer) every 4-6 weeks to promote healthy growth. Avoid over-fertilizing.
Pruning: Prune to control size and shape, and remove any dead or damaged leaves. Pruning can also encourage bushier growth.
Support: Provide a moss pole or trellis for support as the plant grows and produces aerial roots. This mimics its natural climbing habit.
Temperature and Humidity: Prefers warm temperatures and high humidity. Ideal temperature range is 65-85°F (18-29°C). Protect from cold drafts and temperatures below 50°F (10°C).
