Light Requirements: Prefers full sun. Swane’s Gold Italian Cypress thrives in bright, direct sunlight and will develop its best color and form when exposed to plenty of sunlight.

Watering: Water regularly, especially during the first few years to establish a strong root system. Once established, it is moderately drought-tolerant but benefits from occasional deep watering during extended dry periods.

Soil: Prefers well-draining soil. It can adapt to a range of soil types, including sandy, loamy, and clay soils, as long as there is good drainage.

Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring and summer to promote healthy growth and vibrant foliage. Fertilize 2-3 times a year for best results.

Pruning: Minimal pruning is required to maintain its shape. Remove any dead or damaged branches as needed. Pruning is typically done in late winter or early spring.

Temperature and Humidity: Prefers warm temperatures and low to moderate humidity. Swane’s Gold can tolerate temperatures as low as 10°F (-12°C) but should be protected from severe cold.
