The wine palm is native to south america, a beautiful feather palm that has long pinnate leaves that arch and re curve towards the ground from atop a thick stout trunk. The trunk can grow to 4.5m with a diameter of 0.3-0.5m. It is a cold hardy palm that is very easy to grow and is also drought tolerant,
The leaves range from light green to blueish gray and grow between 1.5-3.0m. The palm produces bright orange fruit that attracts wasps and other insects. Remove flower stalks to avoid messy clean ups.
