Light Requirements: Prefers full sun to part shade. The New Zealand Christmas Bush thrives in bright light and will produce the best flowering when exposed to full sun.

Watering: Water regularly, especially during dry periods. While it is somewhat drought-tolerant once established, regular watering encourages healthy growth and abundant flowering.

Soil: Prefers well-draining soil. It can adapt to various soil types, including sandy and loamy soils. Good drainage is essential to prevent root rot.

Fertilizing: Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer in spring and summer to support vigorous growth and vibrant blooms. Fertilize every 4-6 weeks during the growing season.

Pruning: Prune to shape the tree and remove any dead or damaged branches. Pruning is best done after flowering to avoid reducing the next season’s blooms.

Temperature and Humidity: Prefers mild temperatures and moderate humidity. Ideal temperature range is 50-75°F (10-24°C). Protect from frost and temperatures below 25°F (-4°C).
