Aiphanes minima (Macaw Palm)

Aiphanes minima is a small rainforest palm from the West Indies. It has a lush crown of feathery fronds, which are spiny, like the trunk. A distinctive rare palm with lots of character, it does better as a houseplant in Melbourne.  Indoors Aiphanes minima needs a humid, well lit position, regular water and very good drainage.
